Banh Mi Meatball Sub


Mrs. DiFillippo’s™ 1 oz Cooked Meatballs

1/2 baguette

1/8 cup coarsely grated carrots

1/8 cup coarsely grated Daikon radish

2 tbs. rice vinegar

1 tbs. granulated sugar

1/4 tsp. coarse kosher salt

1/2 tsp. Asian sesame oil

1/4 of a sliced jalapeño

Fresh cilantro sprigs

1/4 green onion, thinly sliced

4-5 thin slices cucumber


Hot Chili Mayo:

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tsp. hot chili sauce (such as Sriracha)*

1/4 tsp rice vinegar




Heat meatballs in 350 degree oven until warmed through.

Mix mayonnaise, rice vinegar and hot chili sauce in small bowl.

Grate carrots and Daikon radish. In a small bowl- combine with vinegar, sugar, salt and sesame oil.

Slice baguette in half and split. spread hot chili mayo on baguette. Add meatballs (as many as desired), pickled vegetables, green onion, cucumber slices, sliced jalapeño and cilantro. Serve immediately.
