Best Burger at the Jersey Shore
Devault Foods get top nod for best burger at the Jersey Shore
Company also leads in blind taste test
Devault, PA –And the winner is…Devault Foods beef products came out winners in two separate events.
Devault Foods 5.3 oz burger served at Cape May, NJ’s Sunset Beach Grille helped this seashore eatery earn the “2008 Best Burger at the Jersey Shore” honor in a competition held by Philadelphia Fox TV’s myfoxphilly.com’s “Hot List“. The online voters were asked to vote for their favorite hamburger, and the Devault Foods burger was voted best at the beach.
The company’s beefsteak sandwich slices also came out on top in a recent blind taste test. Students at the International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Philadelphia compared Devault Foods’ product to a leading category competitor.
Judged on overall taste, tenderness and quality, Devault’s product was ranked superior to its competitor, scoring highest in all three categories.
Culinary Chef instructors, who supervised the preparation of the beefsteak sandwich slices, noted that the Devault Foods steak slices provided substantially more yield.
“The outcome of this exercise is exactly the results we were looking for,” said Bill Irwin, Vice President of Marketing for Devault Foods. “Not only did the Devault product excel over its competition across the board, the most important aspect for operators is that our yield was superior without foregoing taste.” stated Irwin.
Devault Foods, family owned and operated since 1949 in Devault, Pennsylvania, supplies portion-controlled meat to the foodservice industry. Devault also serves corporate distributors, independent distributors, corporate purchasing groups, restaurants & hotels, business & industry, healthcare, education and the military.
